My letter to this election crap

Today, while i was watching a little tv and trying to relax, i saw 3 campaighn commercials IN A ROW. That is absolutly ridiculous to me. So out of my frusteration along came this strongly worded letter.

Dear Politicians,
I would just like to inform you that there is a point of publicity where you drive people nuts. Absolutly crazy. Now i dont know if you are just too caught up to realize how much your face is on tv or if you just dont care, but its crazy. In an hour of watching tv, i could name 10 bad things each politician has done, and really some dont even make sense! For example, i saw one that said that the guy he was running against wanted to sell guns to child abusers. Bull! im sure this dude was not out on the street looking for abusers to sell guns to.
Another thing, there are alot of people that are way worse off then you. So nobody really wants to hear your sad little sob story as your rolling in the bank. What about the homeless people that dont even get to see your crappy commercials? Do you think that they care. No. They just want jobs and change.
So the thesis to this letter is really simple, i would advise you to listen. The next time you want to make 17 different commercials bashing on all of your opponents, think about the people you could be out meeting instead. I promise you if you put on less commercials and actually get out more, you will get more votes. The general public is tired of the higher tax commercials and the he said she said bullcrap.
Put on your big girl panties and actually get out. It cant hurt anymore than those silly little commercials do.
The end.
XOXO.

my letter to homosexuals

All over the news there is talk of young gay people commiting suicide due to people who make fun of them. Homosexuality is a huge issue. and i wanted to adress it in my letter (:

Dear homosexual who may be reading this,
i would like to start off by saying i have sympathy for every one of you. A person should NEVER be punished for being yourself. There are so many names for not being normal. But the whole question comes back to what the hell is normal anyways? is it normal for twenty year old girls to marry seventy year old men? is it normal for the rich to marry the poor? is it normal for a guy to marry more then one girl? Normal is completly opinion. I think that everybody says they are normal. My mom says she is normal yet she dances in the kitchen to all her old music. Which to me equals waaay weird!
But some of you guys cant even call YOURSELVES normal. Thats heartbreaking. We are a race that loves seeing people happy. If somebody is sad you ask what is wrong to try to make them happy. So what if you somebody of the same sex makes you happy? would you want them to be unhappy? of course not. No matter who you are attracted to you should have the right to be happy. Lets compare it to buying a dog. Some people are dead set on having lap dogs. But some other people could never see themselves without big labs or hunting dogs. Now is one wrong because they dont prefer the other? No. Should one group not be able to be happy? No. Its the same with people. As long as somebody is happy, who cares who they are with?
I hope some of these points will help anti-gay people. Keep up the good work to the gays out there. Someday things will get better. (:
Xoxo, Me (:

My letter to my boyfriend

Today i decided to write to my boyfriend. We have been dating since October 10th 2008 and it has been an amazing two years. We have been through a lot together. I mean i practically grew up with him beside me. When we started dating i was an 8th grader. He was a freshman. Lets just say freshman year of high school is a big change for everybody. That was deffinetly the most challenging times so far. But through everything he has been here. Thats why i wanted to write to him.

Dear David,
I want to start off my saying thank you for so many things i probably cant even type. Thank you for always saying i look pretty, even if i wear sweatpants. Thank you for never giving up on me even when we fight. Thank you for meeting my entire family and being on your best behavior. Thank you for never giving in or letting me win just because im a girl. There are so many other things you do right in this relationship i just cant write them all.
I want to talk about love. I know that im only 15 years old, and your almost 17 but i know that i love you more than anything in my life. I know if some people look at this, they will think i'm crazy. Love doesnt come until marriage, or until your 22 or whatever. But love came to me at 13 years old. Why? Dont ask me but i know it did. If you try to put an age on love we wouldnt have so many high school sweethearts or 80 year old brides. Love comes in the weirdest of times and in the weirdest of ways but just because your too young or too busy with work or whatever you dont turn it away. I accepted you without knowing it would turn into the relationship it has. Your my best friend, my boyfriend, and pretty much my other half. I expect the same for a very long time.
We have a lot of upcoming things that honestly scare me. Your going to be a senior in highschool next year and you will be making plans to leave this little town. You have big dreams of becoming an Xray Tech and i will never hold you back from that dream. But i will be here for a whole year by myself. College brings lots of temptations on freshman expecially i have heard. Drinking, girls, parties, everything. I do trust you with all of my heart but it just doesnt feel like high school should be almost over for you. I feel like you should still be a freshman dreaming of playing on our varsity football team like your brother, or struggling with classes you could now pass with ease. I know that you will love college and the classes will challege your perfectionist ways. But i hope you dont love it too much without me? Please.
This was more of just a journal entry than just a letter huh? Im sorry babe. I hope you got a little something out of this. XOXO (:

My letter to my future self!

This is my letter to myself when I'm all grown up. Who knows if I'll have it or anything! But it was a fun one to write.

Dear me,
Boy have you learned a lot. (I hope anyways.) I hope you have learned not to stress so much about the small things in life. Like running over a raccoon or not getting an assignment done. I hope you have learned to appreciate the little things more such as the clouds in the sky or the way the leaves turn colors in the fall. When you were a teenager, you rushed around and didn't take the time to see anything. You worried about grades, and boys, and friends, and school lunches; silly little things.
I hope you have found your soul mate and settled down with him. Boys were always huge to you. Not life consuming or anything, well at least you didn’t show they were. You tried your best to play hard to get, for awhile at least. I bet you planned a great wedding. And I sure bet you didn’t allow a short engagement. I haven’t changed that much; I need lots of time to plan. I bet you made sure everybody was overjoyed on your wedding day; even if you were stressing. That’s just how we are. I bet you used the color pink; I hope. You will probably like the color pink forever. I bet you over planned the honey moon too. You probably spent too much money trying to have the best of the best; but it was worth it.
I bet you have lots of little babies. I have always loved kids; always will. I bet you enjoyed the chocolate cravings when you were pregnant, even if you faked them! I bet you didn’t take labor too well. We aren’t the best at handling pain. I bet you cried when you saw your babies little face staring up at you. I bet you cried at all the milestones, except potty training, I bet you jumped for joy! Changing diapers has never been a specialty. I bet you have had your days of practice though. I bet you secretly enjoyed the naughty words your baby muttered, or when they know they do something bad so they turn with that little grin. I can only imagine how you felt sending them off to pre-school. Lots of tissues had to be used on that one. If we turn out anything like mom, I bet you took a million and twelve pictures in every different setting along the way. But one thing I know for sure is you loved those kids like you have never loved anything. They are a part of you. I bet you did cheesy little things for them along the way that they laughed at you for, but you did it because you didn’t know how other to express the joy of having such beautiful gifts. I hope that’s how the kid thing happened!
Finally, I hope you learned more about how to be yourself. In high school, you always wanted to please everybody but yourself. If you made a friend mad, you would worry until they told you to calm down. If you got a bad test grade you would feel like you disappointed the teacher. Let me tell you lady, not needed stress. I really hope it all pays off. I hope the grades and over achiever crap gets me good grades in college and a great career. I pray I’m successful. But after all of this I say I hope you changed about you, I hope you’re the same too. I hope you still act like a little kid sometimes, and watch Disney movies instead of Lifetime. I hope you laugh at the immature things people say. I hope you still love to make things, even if you can’t even draw stick people. I hope you still set goals and push yourself to reach them. I hope you still are caring and loving. So the more that I think about it, the more I hope I don’t change in some aspects. I’m not that bad aye?
See you, love yourself!
XOXO

my letter to my mommy<3

Lets face it there is nobody on this Earth who could ever replace your mom. She is a part of everything in your life. As you grow up you might become more independent, but your still going to need your mommy to help you with some things! Here is my letter to my precious mom (:

Dear mom,
I would like to start by saying I'm proud to have you as my mom. I know that i get wrapped up with doing things with my friends or with all of my schoolwork, but i want you to know that i don't want to make you mad by doing it. I want to spend time with you. I love the time i do spend with you. The little things that you do for me probably mean more to me than you will ever know. Like staying up with me when i don't feel well. Or when i have a fight with my boyfriend and you sit and talk to me and make cookies. Or when i get good grades and you recognize that and praise me. I appreciate every single thing you do for me. I know sometimes i haven't made your life the easiest, and you have probably wanted to scream at me sometimes, but you haven't showed it. You do your best to work things out with me. You want a good relationship with me, just like i want to have one with you too.
Going to college and away from all of you guys scares me. I wont have you to laugh at me when i burn brownies, or to criticize me for putting my whites in with my colors. When I'm having a bad day, you wont be able to be there and talk me through it. We wont be able to make fun of dad together when he yells at the TV during sports. Basically I cant imagine my life without you. You make all of my days better. Thank you for all of the great things you have done in my life, and for all of things you will do.
I love you mommy. XOXO

Tuesday, October 12, 2010

Today i decided to switch up my quest for a little bit of fun. I'm nowhere near bored with it; but i was just in an exciting mood. I decided to write a love note and slip in a random locker in my high school. I have no idea who got the letter, boy or girl! I don't know what they will do with the letter, all i know is some lucky person received an anonymous love letter. HA HA! Here is a copy of the complete letter. Enjoy!

Dear you, (:
You and i together; we are magic. When you hold me in your arms, i feel so safe and comfortable. When i wake up each morning i long to see your face next to me. The moment i do finally get to see you, i smile very wide I have never felt this before with anybody else. You make me have HUGE butterflies in my stomach, and you make me have all of these other feelings I've never felt before. I love you because you bring the best out in me. You always know what to say when I need you, and you know when sometimes i don't need your advice. You mean everything to me and i pray that i never lose you. I can share all of my secrets with you and i know you wont share them with anybody. And your not only great on the inside; your hot. Everything about you from your head to your toes is dreamy. When i listen to love songs on the radio, your picture flashes in my head. When its cold outside, i really wish you could be there to hug me and keep me warm. Your everything i have ever dreamed of and i thought it was about time you knew it. I love you kid. XOXO
Love, Me

*I would like to apologize if this accidentally went into your boyfriend's or girlfriend's locker and you didn't send it. Don't beat up the guy who stares at her in the hall or whatever. It was just an experiment. Love letters are something that has always played a part; they haven't faded. So it wasn't to steal your partner or anything like that. It was just to prove a point. That love letters still have some meaning in your society. I couldnt do this for my whole quest; it was very nerveracking. Even though i typed up the letter so they had no way of finding out it was me, my heart still started racing and my palms got all sweaty. Which is pretty ridiculous now that i think about it because i didnt even know who it was going to, nor did i like them. Maybe i was scared to get beat up by the linebacker boyfriend! HA HA.
I hope you enjoyed this post, it was probably my favorite so far. It was spontanious and just weird. Maybe ill even try to do another one of these soon. Keep checking in this quest is going well!

After writing this letter, i started doing research about it and i found this website where this girl named Asia, wrote 300 hundred love letters to her boyfriend at the time or somebody she went on a date with, but instead of shipping them to the crush, she shipped them to strangers! Random people she didnt know. She even taped them on the outside of the envolopes so the mailmen could read them as they delivered them. I wonder how wives thought if there husband recieved one in the mail. UT OHH. It was really fun to read through, check it out! The website is posted right below (:

Day 5- my letter to a soldier

Everybody has heard of Superman, Batman, even Catwoman. They defeat evil with ease and fly through the skies with enough time to make it home for dinner. Even though those are fictional characters, we have true heros in life. They are you guys; the soldiers. You keep the evil away from our country. You leave your families and all of your belongings to protect the innocent people of your country. Now maybe you dont get to come home every night to catch Saturday Night Live or The Jay Lenno Show and eat some pizza, but that kind of makes you even more heroic. I wanted to understand more about why you soldiers were called soldiers instead of heros. To some you are already heros of course, but Superman gets called a hero everyday and for goodness sakes he isnt even real. The dictionary deffinition of hero is a man of distinguished courage or ability, admired for his brave deeds and noble qualities. If thats not a man who goes across the seas in the middle of Hell to save our country and our people; then the dictionary must be incorrect. If i could ask any of the soldiers that fight for our country why they do it, it would be truely amazing. Who wants to leave their safe and cozy home to go sleep in tents and have shells shot at you? Not many. We could easily send the people who are in jail for life over to fight our battles. Leave the innocent with their families. But you guys volunteer to risk your life for the lives of the millions of Americans. Its amazing. Thats a hero. Another question i would ask if i got the chance; how does it feel when people diss America or diss the army? In fact i saw a person on a corner of the street the other day holding an American flag with a big red X through it. But there are people dying for you? How would that make you feel? The next time you feel like our country isnt on the right track or our soldiers arent doing your job, think about the families that dont get the chance to tell there husbands, fathers, or sons about that because they lost their life fighting for the ungrateful. Granted sometimes things dont go your way, its not right to say. Period.
I would like to thank you all for all the courage and determination you have had to go and fight for our country. I dont think you will ever really realize how grateful the millions of Americans are. I am only one girl; im not speaking for the entire country. I would like to thank all of your families, for giving you up and having to struggle on their own because they know you made the right choice and you are helping strangers out. I would like to thank the people who didnt get the chance to come back and see their families. Your memories to them are truely cherished. You will be remembered as a Superman or Batman in many people's minds. You fought very hard for what you believe in and you are in a much better place now. A place with peace and perfect harmony. I would like to thank God for putting all of these wonderful people on Earth. Without him we wouldnt have the heros we have today. And if he feels like a soldier has had his time, he will take him away from the horrors of war into his place. He will help him heal and help him watch over all of his family and friends. There are so many people affected by one single man or woman going to war. I want to thank you all again. Know your doing the right thing. God bless you heros.

Jodi Picoult

Day 4- My letter to Jodi Picoult.

Your seriously thee single greatest author ever. You make your stories so suspensful and fun i cant stand to put the books down. I have read every single one of your books. My mom calls me a finatic as i rush to Walmart to pick up your latest book.
I would like to thank you for all the hours of entertainment you have provided me with over the past year or so. You were there for me when my boyfriend was too busy to hang out with me, or i didnt have the money to go bowling with all my friends. Okay you werent literally there to listen to my problems but your books sure were! They took me out of small town Iowa and into an Amish town, or a court room full of suspensful people. They transported me to someplace where i wanted to be. Somewhere where its not as boring and drying paint. And i know for a fact these arent true, but she writes them so well that they might as well be.
My favorite book was hands down Perfect Match. Its about a little boy who gets sexually abused. His mom is also a lawyer for sexually abused kids, but when its her own child its a whole new story. She ends up shooting the man accused of raping her son. Im not going to give away the whole book but lets just say there are 351 pages and i BLAZED through it. Another one of my absolute favorites was handle with care. It is about a little girl named Willow who was born with osteogenesis imperfecta- also known as brittle bone syndrom. She breaks bones from sneezing, falling down: everything. Her mom ends up filing a unrightful birth lawsuit saying that if her OBGYN would have found the problem sooner she would have aborted the baby. And guess who her OBGYN was? Her best friend. Its a very twisted story with an even more twisted ending. So those were my favorites. I will write a complete list of her books below, because you will love them all.
I promise if i convince anybody on the internet to buy one of her books you wont be let down. Each book of hers is a totally different person in a totally different situation but in a weird way they are all alike. Not enought to feel like you read the same book though.
So keep up that book writing Jodi Picoult because i promise i will be out there buying the latest book. You never disappoint me with your books. Never Ever. (:

Day 1- my letter to God
Dear Lord- You are my first letter. Now I not to expect a letter back, so I'm free to write anything I want. I have to admit, throughout the years, I have had some trouble believing in you. As a kid you grow up believing in the Tooth Fairy, Santa, the Easter Bunny and all of these other fabulous characters, but as you grow up these are taken away from you. Why would you be any different? Well on the day of September 3rd I found out you were real. I was in a rollover car accident on a gravel road that afternoon. I couldnt get out of my car until the Jaws of Life came, and my car was a complete disaster. But i walked away without a scratch. Was it a coincidence? I don't believe so I think God put me here for some reason, and he wasn't quite ready for me to leave yet. I have had a hard time getting over all of the trauma, but it did make me realize how real God is. So I would like to thank you for saving me and putting me on this Earth for some great reason. Its great to have somebody watch over me. I feel very safe now. Someday I will say thank you in person.
With love, Madi Hall<3

This is my first kind of introduction essay on my quest. I put the introduction for you to read. Please enjoy!

Haha my funny version of a messeger pigeon!

If you could be a messenger pigeon, and fly all over the world delivering letters to people, who would you deliver messages to? Your mom, your dad, brothers and sisters I'm guessing. That’s what I would do too. But now lets say you had to write to strangers. People you barely know, or maybe have never talked to in your life. Would you still be the messenger pigeon? Scarier thought. In your mind you have a lot of things you would love to say to a lot of people; some nice, others uhm not so much. If you could write those all on paper and send them, could you do it? It takes a brave person to send letters to strangers, even if it doesn't sound all that impressive. I am now ready to become a small but mighty messenger pigeon.
